Urban exploration (often shortened as urbex or UE) is the exploration of man-made structures, usually abandoned ruins or not usually seen components of the man-made environment. Photography and historical interest/documentation are heavily featured in the hobby and, although it may sometimes involve trespassing onto private property, this is not always the case.

Animals are the better humans. It's amazing just to watch them.

"Through the eyes of a photographer..."
I was born in Leipzig and only noticed its beauty after moving away. It's always a good idea to look at the city you live in closely - you will be surprised how many details you haven't noticed yet!

I'm a nature lover! Whenever it's possible, I go outside with or without my camera and  take pictures in the forest, mountains or park. I also enjoy just breathing the fresh air and finding new calm and quiet places with my bike.

Hi! :)
My name is Jess, I am a 26-year-old amateur photographer from Karlsruhe, Germany.
I passionately take pictures of abandoned buildings. I made this website to show my work. I started with photography in 2012 using a Panasonic Lumix Digital Camera.
Since 5 years, I've been using Canon's EOS 600D.
I hope you like my website! Feel free to contact me.
