Hotel des Alpes

It looks like it was just yesterday that the personnel made the beds and cleaned the kitchen. A weird smell is in the air, but you could hardly guess this hotel has been abandoned for that long.

Built in 1973, this hotel used to be a clinic at first. In 2002, the clinic had to be closed due to insolvency. Since 2004, the clinic was leased to be a hotel, which was successful until the year 2008, when the hotel became insolvent, too.

The building was finally sold in 2008, the new owners planned to renovate it. They started - but gave up after a short period of time. Since 2011, nobody knows where the owners are, why they stopped renovating the building, or if they are ever going to come back to the hotel. The building is most likely to be demolished in the near future.
