VEB Jutespinnerei Texafol

This factory was built in 1896. It was used as a spinning and weaving mill that produced packing materials and coated fabrics. After the turnaround in Germany, the factory was renamed to Texafol Leipzig GmbH in 1990. Shortly after, the business was closed and the 2.2 hectare site was abandoned.

This lost place seems to be really famous. People went there for just having a walk, we met couples, sprayers, kids, even families, who enjoyed the atmosphere of this huge abandoned building. The smell of rust and mold covered the air. Graffiti no matter where we looked.
