Kurklinik Bauscher

In 1957, the wellness clinic specialized in eye and internal diseases. A few years after, the clinic expanded, counting more than 170 beds. Additionally, there used to be a medical unit, swimming pool, sauna, gym and a restaurant. After a legal watershed in the health care system, the clinic was occupied insufficiently and had to be closed in 1997, just like many other wellness clinics.

We met the owner (after hiding in the sauna for 10 minutes). He wanted us to leave the building immediately, but we convinced him we were just taking pictures. He told us some teenagers from town come here regularly, destroying all that's left. He asked us to show the mess those people leave and how desperate you get as an owner coming back to this chaos.
