This chemical factory was founded in 1881. They produced special facilities such as coating systems, water-processing units and electrical and control technologies. Until the end of WW2, the factory grew to be the biggest specialist company in this field - counting over 2000 employees. Due to the political changes in Germany in 1989, the company closed their business premises in 1990 and moved to a different location.

In 2015, the media reported they found waste oil and other chemicals inside the factory (who could've guessed that). The barrels were removed subsequently.

Meawhile, a few things have changed, more graffiti, more vandalism, the power is on behind a new door inside.

P.S. Always be careful with wooden steps - you could easily break through them. ;)
